Indiana-PAW's Video Project:

Heroes In The Heartland: Working For Indiana's Homeless Pets

We at Indiana-PAW are amazed at how many wonderful animal shelters, rescue agencies, and citizens across our State are working tirelessly for homeless Hoosier pets. The Indiana-PAW Video Project (tentatively titled: "Heroes In The Heartland: Working For Indiana's Homeless Pets") is a video that we are creating that spotlights this good work. We intend to distribute the video the media outlets, schools and public libraries across Indiana. Additionally, we'll provide every shelter and rescue group in the State with a copy and our permission to distribute it to their constituents. Our goal is to use the video to show the collaborative spirit that's spreading across Indiana where homeless pets are concerned, and to galvanize other citizens to roll up their sleeves and work alongside those of us who believe we can bring about a day where no healthy animal in Indiana has to die due to a lack of a home. There are more than 400 animal shelters and rescue groups helping Hoosier pets. Over the past three months, our Executive Director and various members of our Board of Directors have driven thousands of miles across Indiana, camcorder in hand, to talk to the those "in the trenches."

July 1st In Rising Sun, Indiana: Matt Mobley, Manger of the Ohio County Animal Shelter, talks with Amy Van Ostrand, Indiana-PAW's Founder & Executive Director. Proof that Indiana-PAW will travel to shelters located anywhere in the State, no matter the distance!

Take a look at the logos below of some of those who have allowed us to come videotape them as part of our project, and if you're not among them, please click here and let us know you'd like the participate. In the meantime, here is a sampling of the groups that have participated so far (we'd like to add YOUR shelter or rescue group to this list):
